Quality Assurance Specialist

Thompson Engineering is in search of a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Representative. This position focuses on documenting construction activities, liaising with the Project Manager, and assisting with various office responsibilities such as generating cross-sections and calculating earthwork quantities.
The successful candidate will be tasked with preparing daily logs detailing labor and equipment utilization, project descriptions, and interactions with contractors. Responsibilities also encompass supervising the Contractor's Quality Control Program, performing safety evaluations, and maintaining project documentation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepares essential construction inspection reports
- Ensures adherence to safety regulations and protocols
- Participates in safety meetings and contributes actively
- Maintains consistent and reliable attendance
- High school diploma is mandatory; a degree in Civil Engineering is advantageous
- Possession of a valid Driver's License
- Competence in Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential
- Capability to work in outdoor environments
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for at least eight hours each day
- Ability to bend, stoop, and climb as necessary
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
