Job Description:

As a Chemistry Laboratory Specialist at Actalent, you will be responsible for performing various chemical and physical tests in a laboratory setting. Your primary focus will be on testing crude oil, refined gases, and refined fuels using American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) methods.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform chemical and physical tests on various materials using ASTM methods.
  • Assist with equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and glassware.
  • Prepare reagents and record data on appropriate data sheets.
  • Report data to the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Maintain quality records, control charts, and laboratory supply inventories.
  • Comply with safety, quality, and housekeeping requirements.
  • Participate in cross-training as needed.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Life Science Degree with a Chemistry Minor.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
