Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct thorough evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create and implement individualized treatment plans and goals for students with speech and language impairments.
  • Provide Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups, focusing on speech and language development.
  • Monitor and Document Progress: Regularly monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Educational Teams: Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom setting.
  • Participate in IEP Meetings: Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student progress and goals.
  • Maintain Accurate Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluation reports, therapy notes, and progress reports.
  • Stay Current with Best Practices: Stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
  • Provide Training and Support: Provide training and support to teachers and staff on speech and language development and disorders.

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology: Possess a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology License: Hold a valid Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology license.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence: Possess a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Ohio Department of Education Pupil Services License: Hold an Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Pupil Services License.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong Knowledge and Skills: Possess strong knowledge of speech and language development and disorders, as well as excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and professionals.
