Assistant/Junior Estimator

A reputable home builder is seeking a skilled Assistant/Junior Estimator to join their team. This role offers a competitive compensation package and an excellent benefits program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop accurate and comprehensive job estimates.
  • Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating prices.
  • Maintain cost keys and price masters by updating information.
  • Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing data.
  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Requirements:
  • 3 years of estimating experience within the residential construction industry.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of various estimating software.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of blueprints and specifications.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
