Role Responsibilities:

The Assembly Lead oversees a team responsible for the final assembly of manufactured products and components, ensuring they are completed accurately and packaged appropriately for shipment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the assembly team, including training, coaching, and managing personnel schedules to maintain adequate staffing levels.
  • Reviewing work orders to confirm that all necessary materials are available for the team.
  • Ensuring proper branding and labeling, including compliance with NEMA Ratings and UL standards.
  • Coordinating with other department leads and the production manager to meet production schedules.
  • Communicating any changes in production schedules to internal teams, including Project Management and Sales.
  • Driving continuous improvement in procedures, processes, and methods to enhance safety and quality.
  • Maintaining the work area, parts inventory, and materials to prevent production delays.
  • Providing support to the production team as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Ability to lift, lower, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficient in using arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back for computer operations.
  • Willingness to undergo background and drug testing.
  • Preferred certification as a Forklift Operator.
  • Experience in crating and packaging.
  • Familiarity with UPS and FedEx tracking systems is advantageous.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, particularly Infor Visual or Acumatica, is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Desire to learn, with strong listening, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and professional, with a commitment to responsibility.
  • A team player with a positive attitude towards clients and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Patience to see complex projects through to completion.
  • Drive to develop and enhance systems.
  • High mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015 is a plus.
  • Background in metal manufacturing is beneficial.
  • Experience in electro-mechanical systems is advantageous.

Compensation:

The compensation range for this position is $30-$35 per hour, with Restricted Stock Units included in all offers. Compensation will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment.
