About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical Designer to join our Professional Engineering Consulting team. The successful candidate will work alongside a team of experienced designers and professional engineers who specialize in Energy Projects.



Key Responsibilities
  • Design and locate I&E equipment within a 3D model environment using AutoCAD, CADWorx, and Navisworks.
  • Design site-specific Power Distribution and Control Systems per company, client, and industry standards.
  • Prepare drawings and concept sketches to support construction work, change orders, estimates, and other project requirements.
  • Develop installation detail drawings for all electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Size all cabinets, panelboards, cables, tray, and conduit per industry standards.
  • Prepare one-lines, wiring, and loop diagrams required for specified power and controls.
  • Apply quality control processes, checklists, and take ownership and accountability for completed work.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in power distribution or controls systems.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, including NEC, ANSI/ISA-5.1-2022, and API-RP500.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, CADWorx, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.
