Job Summary:

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida is seeking a skilled Lead Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our Interventional Radiology department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our CVL procedural rooms, preparing patients for procedures, and adhering to proper aseptic/sterile technique.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare CVL procedural rooms for patient reception, ensuring rooms are stocked and emergency equipment is checked.
  • Adhere to proper aseptic/sterile technique when prepping tables, draping patients, and performing skin prep for vascular or open access procedures.
  • Assemble department-related data for periodic reviews and special projects as assigned.
  • Operate imaging equipment, including moving tables and gantries, adjusting magnification, and performing DSA, run-offs, and measurements.
  • Monitor task implementation and provide feedback on outcomes as required.
  • Participate in weekend leadership huddles and finalize staffing schedules for the following work week as assigned.
  • Follow National Patient Safety goals and department-established Patient Safety goals.
  • Ensure Interventional Radiology labs meet Joint Commission guidelines.
  • Complete charges in EPIC for cases performed daily.
  • Comply with current Hospital security and safety policies.

Qualifications:

  • Current license as a Radiologic Technologist with or without Cardiac-Interventional Radiography-RT.
  • Vascular-Interventional Radiography-RT(R)(VI) credentialing from the ARRT or credentialed by the CCI as a RCIS, RCES, or CCT.
  • BLS/ACLS certification required.
