Interventional Radiology Technologist

The IR Tech position at ATC Miami-Dade County involves performing a wide range of interventional radiology procedures, including structural, carotid stenting, peripheral arterial cases, and lumbar punctures. The ideal candidate will have vascular IR procedural experience, knowledge of Cath Lab/IR protocols and procedures, and neuro-interventional experience. High-level communication skills are also essential for this role.
About the Role
As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for administering or assisting with administration of contrast media, performing radiological testing as assigned, and initiating emergency procedures according to facility policies and procedures. You will also provide patient services in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need at least one year of travel IR technologist experience, with a strong background in GE Imaging, MacLab, and Meditech documentation systems. You will also need to have vascular IR procedural experience, knowledge of Cath Lab/IR protocols and procedures, and neuro-interventional experience. Additionally, you will need to have high-level communication skills and be able to maintain confidentiality relative to patient care and facility practices in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
