Job Description

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Highland Park, IL. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IEPs that cater to the diverse needs of students with disabilities.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in both general education and special education settings.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best educational outcomes for students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to meet individual goals.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records related to student progress and IEP documentation.
  • Stay current with best practices and research in special education to provide high-quality instruction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Current Illinois teaching license in Special Education or eligibility for licensure.
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
