Second Shift (United States of America)
Position Overview:
The Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly of non-electrical components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the assembly of mechanical components safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of mechanical parts and hardware.
- Assemble and attach mechanical and subassembly components to structures by adhering to work instructions.
- Plan and perform assembly tasks based on drawings, pick lists, and bills of materials.
- Conduct mechanical assembly tasks, including building new units, troubleshooting, repairing, or modifying existing units.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of two years of experience in mechanical assembly is preferred.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and some powered equipment.
- Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints.
- Proficient in using hand tools that require dexterity.
- Effective communication skills with factory supervisors.
Work Environment:
ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements:
- Capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand (75%), walk (20%), and stoop, kneel, or crouch (5%) as necessary.
- Must be able to climb a portable ladder.
- Required to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout the shift.
- Must wear hearing protection (ear plugs) during shifts in environments with moderate noise levels.
