Job Summary

About the Role:

The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) team. As a MICU RN, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team that is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the field of critical care nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and clinical expertise to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects to advance the field of critical care nursing and improve patient care.
  • Contribute to a culture of excellence and accountability, promoting a safe and supportive work environment for patients, families, and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont.
  • BSN degree required; MSN or DNP degree preferred.
  • Greater than one year of experience in a critical care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
