Key Responsibilities:
Primary Duties:
- Engage in standard and industry group meetings, including but not limited to 3GPP SA1/SA2, GSMA, ETIS, and ATIS on a global scale.
- Report on the progress of industry standards and assist internal system engineers with standards-related challenges.
- Draft contributions to standards that advocate for the company's interests.
- Facilitate internal consensus for specifications from 3GPP and other Standards Development Organizations (SDOs).
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience in telecommunications standardization and/or systems engineering.
- Familiarity with 3GPP NTN architecture, mobility, and TN/NTN convergence.
- Experience with GSMA, ATIS, ETSI Working Groups and Standards, as well as virtualized RAN and packet core technologies.
Skills and Attributes:
- Comprehensive understanding of 3GPP 4/5 Core Architecture, Reference Points/Interfaces, all OAM aspects, Cloud Architecture, and Automation.
- Solid knowledge of CBRS and related standards.
- Strong analytical capabilities and a willingness to learn new concepts.
- Self-driven with the ability to manage standard/system engineering projects autonomously.
- Coordinate internal alignment for 3GPP and other standards bodies and SDOs.
- Experience in vendor management concerning standards alignment.
- Familiarity with the processes and procedures of Standards Organizations (SDOs).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
