Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marriott International Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of equipment, and visual inspections of tools and machinery.
  • Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed.
  • Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved communication protocols.
  • Display knowledge and skills in areas such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, as well as external sprinkler systems.
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work.
  • Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting preferred.
  • Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus.
  • Valid driver's license required.
