Position Overview:

The Special Education Assessment Proctor plays a crucial role in facilitating evaluations for students with learning disabilities. This position is vital for ensuring that students receive the assessments they need in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary representative of Marker Learning, visiting various educational institutions to oversee scheduled assessment sessions.
  • Collaborate with school officials and Marker psychologists to guarantee a smooth testing experience for students.
  • Supervise students during virtual assessments, ensuring they are comfortable and supported throughout the process.
  • Set up necessary testing equipment and facilitate connections between students and psychologists via virtual platforms.
  • Assist students with testing materials and provide guidance as needed.
  • Maintain the security of assessment materials and adhere to established testing protocols to ensure accurate results.
  • Document and upload student responses to the Marker Portal following each session.
  • Conduct classroom observations to enhance the overall experience for students and school districts.
  • Identify opportunities for Marker Learning to improve its services and support for students.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in special or general education, directly working with students.
  • Prior experience in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and reliability in attending scheduled sessions.
  • Excellent communication abilities, fostering positive relationships with students, psychologists, and school staff.
  • Problem-solving skills with a flexible and goal-oriented approach.
  • Technical proficiency to troubleshoot common issues related to virtual assessments.

Requirements:

  • Experience in special or general education or a background in psychology with experience working with children for at least 2 years.
  • Availability to work according to school district hours and calendar.
  • Compliance with district and Marker Learning policies and protocols.
  • Successful completion of a background check and district clearance process.
  • Access to reliable transportation for travel between campuses during scheduled shifts.
