  • Manage day-to-day operations of the tasting room, including supervising staff and completing administrative duties.
  • Respond to inquiries from customers and staff in the tasting room manager's absence.
  • Assist in building and retaining wine club members through engagement and outstanding customer service.
  • Assist with wine club events and promote sales.
  • Work with tasting room staff to promote sales and provide excellent customer service.
  • Give tours of the winery and provide information about wine production and sales.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a winery or tasting room setting preferred.
  • Wine knowledge and production experience required.
  • Computer skills in Word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook required.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills required.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under deadlines.
  • Ability to supervise other employees in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Inventory management skills preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to lead small wine tasting events.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide an excellent experience for customers in the winery and manage daily operations of the tasting room.
  • Safely practice heavy lifting and carrying with the help of another person, if necessary.
  • Ability to be on feet for long periods of time, including frequent stair climbing.
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Repetitive movements, including bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, and stooping.
  • Repetitive use of hands, including fine hand manipulation while working on a computer keyboard.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with staff and customers.
  • Work around cleaning agents and other caustic chemicals.
  • Work around and with heavy equipment.
  • Work with numbers and orders.
  • Ability to interact well with co-workers and customers.
