Join CaroMont Health as a Medical Assistant/LPN/Paramedic

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant/LPN/Paramedic to join our team at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Belmont, NC. As a Medical Assistant/LPN/Paramedic, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients and equipment for exams and procedures
  • Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas
  • Return phone messages to patients and pharmacies
  • Collect and prepare lab specimens and lab requisitions accurately
  • Schedule and obtain authorizations for referrals and procedures
  • Prepare and perform radiology diagnostics (x-rays) based on training and experience
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Provide front-office clerical support, including worker compensation verification, answering phones, scheduling appointments, referrals, obtaining prior authorizations, and scheduling procedures and diagnostic tests
Requirements:
  • Medical Assistant: High school diploma or equivalent, BLS required, current credentialing (certification/registration), and maintenance of credentialing with American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA-CMA) or American Medical Technologists (AMT-RMA)
  • LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse with current license to practice in NC or SC, graduate of an Accredited School of practical nursing, previous medical office experience preferred, and BLS required
  • Paramedic: High school diploma or equivalent, BLS required, completion of Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic program, and current certification as EMT-Paramedic
