We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Engineering division at our Elmira, NY office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership in the design and delivery of mechanical engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and mentor mechanical engineering staff to develop concepts, strategies, and construction documents for new building renovation projects.
- Provide mechanical leadership for large multi-discipline design projects, including HVAC, plumbing, process piping systems, and fire protection design.
- Interact directly with clients to analyze design options, cost benefit comparisons, and communicate results to assist owners in decision-making processes.
- Direct mechanical project teams to meet project goals and maintain quality work products.
- Manage mechanical project financial performance and schedule.
- Develop and maintain client relationships through proposal writing, business development, and client communication.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with a professional A/E services firm.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask efficiently.
- New York Professional Engineer's License is a plus.
