Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will direct or perform specific engineering assignments of various sizes and complexities in their field of expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish design criteria and ensure the correctness of drawings
  • Make or approve field design changes
  • Represent the section or department to resolve and plan work
  • Provide engineering support for commercial building/yard mechanical systems
  • Review and approve contractor designs, calculations, shop drawings, and submittals
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis and conceptual studies to determine best designs
  • Prepare budgets and appropriation requests for specific projects
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 8 years of experience in design and application of engineering principles
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform required calculations and select equipment
