Job Overview

Mazda Motor Corporation is seeking a skilled Process Planning Specialist to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. As a key member of our Production Engineering team, you will play a vital role in leading various stakeholders through production changes. This includes new model years, updates to interim product measures, engineering change notices, and changes in production volume.

The successful candidate will work closely with other groups like MNAO Huntsville, Mazda Toyota Manufacturing (MTMUS), and suppliers to ensure a smooth operation. A key responsibility for the Production Engineering team is achieving Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) goals while ensuring all production systems are successfully implemented across Mazda Toyota Manufacturing (MTMUS) and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Sr Engineer in conducting studies to identify and address needs of production process changes.
  • Assist in developing local trial plans and event preparation progress reports necessary for project progression.
  • Communicate all changes with related stakeholders and ensure successful implementation.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and maintenance departments to verify that modifications function as intended through trials and inspections.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering, or a related field. A minimum of three years' experience in production engineering or maintenance department in automotive OEM or related industry is also required. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of Mechanical engineering and software programming are a plus.
