Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at ATS Automation. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling and testing completed desiccators and pipette pumps from component parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Remove molded products from the molding machine and visually inspect, de-gate and trim parts when necessary.
  • Perform limited size inspection utilizing gages, micrometer calipers, or special fixtures. Bag parts and apply header cards or labels when required.
  • Perform post-molding operations such as milling gates, drilling holes, inserting inserts, hand removal of mold components from parts, hot stamping, etc. at the molding machine and during the molding cycle.
  • Properly pack the finished or semi-finished parts into master cartons.
  • May also operate a regrinding machine, rework or inspect other molded parts and fill in on other machines as demand rises.
  • Maintain production statistics and prepare a report for the Lead Operator at the end of the shift.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Some manufacturing experience is helpful, but not required.
  • Must demonstrate a solid work history and attendance record.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move from 25 to 50 pounds.

  • Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts.
  • Report defect in any equipment or protective device.
  • Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks.
  • Attend all required health, safety and environmental training.
  • Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor.
  • Assist in investigating accidents/incidents.

Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct.
