Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the Defense Health Agency Civilian Corps in Falls Church, VA. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will work as a member of an interdisciplinary medical team in a Patient Centered Medical Home, providing assessment and intervention for individuals with a wide range of chronic medical conditions and behavioral health issues.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct biopsychosocial evaluations and assess patient's cognitive, emotional, and psychological status
- Provide individual and group treatment, including brief problem-focused interventions, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and psychoeducational classes
- Consult with primary care and specialty clinic providers regarding psychological treatment options to optimize health outcomes
- Educate clinic staff on the principles of primary care behavioral health via trainings and briefings
- Conduct outpatient group classes, stress management, relaxation training, assertive/social skills training, smoking cessation training, substance abuse identification and brief related interventions
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology
- Current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice psychology independently offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction
- One year of specialized experience conducting biopsychosocial evaluations, assessing patient's cognitive, emotional, and psychological status, and providing individual and group treatment
