About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team at Omaha Children's Hospital. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness, intervening as necessary to ensure patient safety.
  • Supervise and train pharmacy personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure the timely and accurate dispensing of pharmaceuticals.
  • Provide medication counseling and education to patients and their families, ensuring they understand the proper use of their medications.
  • Participate in the medication reconciliation process, ensuring accurate and up-to-date medication lists for patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting, with a PGY1 residency preferred.
  • Current licensure as a pharmacist in the state of Nebraska.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist certification preferred.
