Youth Care Worker/Shift Leader/Supervisor

Culmen International is seeking dedicated professionals to support an upcoming Health and Human Services opportunity. As a Youth Care Worker/Shift Leader/Supervisor, you will play a vital role in providing direct care supervision for youth residing in care, fostering an environment that facilitates learning and behavioral management in a supportive manner.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure Proper Supervision: Ensure the proper supervision of youth in care at all times by ensuring ratios are continuously met.
- Conduct Intake Services: Conduct intake services to include but not limited to: completing necessary paperwork, providing youth with an overview of the program services, and provide basic needs.
- Assist with Program Operations: Assist with the coordination of Physical Education instruction and other large muscle activities, as well as oversee program operations within their shift.
- Document Required Information: Report and document required information pertaining to supervision forms, close observations, food logs, sleep logs, and bed check logs.
- Provide Medication Assistance: Be able to assist in the distribution of medications to youth as prescribed by Medical Provider.
- Substitute Teaching: Serve as a Substitute Teacher in the absence of the Teacher in a classroom setting.
- Evacuation Procedures: Assist in the evacuation of youth as needed due to inclement weather conditions, natural disasters, or other unforeseen occurrences.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free facility, including general cleaning of common areas and general maintenance of outdoor areas.
- Travel Requirements: Travel as needed for youth transportation within the U.S.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Experience Working with Youth: Minimum of one (1) year experience working with youth, preferably in an ORR setting.
- Computer Literacy: Must be computer literate.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) required.
- Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid Driver's License.
- Cleared Background Check: Ability to successfully clear a background check.
- Immunization Documentation: Provide immunization documentation for Tdap, Varicella, MMR, Hepatitis A and B, Varicella.
- Authorized to Work in the U.S.: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
