Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at St. Joseph's Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in setting up for scheduled cases with needed supplies and instrumentation.
• Transport patients to the operating room and position them on the OR table.
• Adhere to national patient safety goals by confirming the correctness of the surgical site and procedure.
• Follow proper surgical scrubbing and gowning procedures.
• Assist in accounting for instruments, sharps, and sponges used during surgical procedures.
• Identify, prepare, and pass surgical instruments and sharps to and from the surgeon.
• Assist in cleaning and restocking the operating room.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Completion of a Surgical Technology Program.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of surgical technology experience.
