Job OverviewPosition Summary
SmileMD is a specialized anesthesia provider focused on delivering care to the pediatric Medicaid demographic for dental procedures. Our goal is to ensure timely access to necessary treatments, preventing long wait times typically associated with hospital settings. We operate across multiple states and manage thousands of cases each year, all conducted in a dental office environment.

Role Responsibilities
  • Transport medical supplies and medications to the dental facility.
  • Prepare the operating room for procedures and assist the physician throughout the day.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during their time in the operating room.
  • Facilitate the transition of patients to recovery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized operating environment between patients.
  • Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Provide exceptional service to dental staff, care team members, patients, and their families.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals.
  • Engage with patients to ensure they are medically cleared for anesthesia.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Work Schedule
  • No evening shifts.
  • No work on Sundays.
  • Standard 10-hour shifts, typically starting at 6 a.m. and concluding at 4 p.m.

Qualifications
  • Must possess an active paramedic certification in Tennessee.
  • Certifications in PALS, BLS, and ACLS are required or must be obtained.

Skills and Competencies
  • Willingness to travel up to 90 minutes for assignments.
  • Strong patient care abilities.
  • Experience with pediatric patients is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in entering patient data accurately into the EMR system.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Successful completion of the company credentialing process and a satisfactory background check are prerequisites for employment.
