Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Job Overview:
As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing both routine and advanced maintenance tasks on various aircraft and their associated systems.

This includes, but is not limited to, the removal and installation of panels and components, repair work, and sheet metal fabrication or installation.

Your role will involve conducting mechanic duties that require a high level of expertise, training junior technicians, and troubleshooting repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Examine, disassemble, and inspect engines, parts, or other components for wear, warping, breaks, leaks, or other deficiencies.
- Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories using hand and power tools.


- Service and maintain aircraft systems by performing tasks such as flushing crankcases, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes.

- Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, functional components, and parts, including wings, fuselage, rigging, and hydraulic units.

- Test engine and system operations using testing equipment and listen to engine sounds to detect and diagnose malfunctions.

- Remove and install engines from aircraft using hoists or forklifts.

- Disassemble or modify aircraft structures, systems, or components following engineering drawings and technical publications.


- Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

- Adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft systems using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment.

- Maintain and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling as required.

- Work independently on projects when necessary.

Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of current experience in maintaining, inspecting, servicing, and repairing corporate aircraft.
- FAA A&P License and a high school diploma or GED.


- Preference will be given to candidates with an Associate Degree in Aviation Maintenance or a related field, along with specific experience or training.

- Must be available for overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Work schedule assignments will be based on business needs and demonstrated levels of knowledge, skills, and experience.

- Proficiency in reading, writing, interpreting, and speaking the English language is required.

- Adhere to general work and safety regulations.

- Be self-motivated, able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, and take pride in the work performed.


- Demonstrate leadership abilities, sound decision-making skills, and an understanding of the man-hours assigned to each job, assigning tasks to technicians based on their expertise to meet project deadlines.

- Possess the ability to identify potential obstacles or problems before they arise, devise a plan, and communicate with management. Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented approach are essential.

- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs or more.

- Routine standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, or stooping is required.

- Manual work involves routine or repetitive physical motions with arms and hands.

- Work is performed in a hangar environment subject to extreme temperature variations.
