Key Responsibilities- Perform direct patient care, including assessment, evaluation, and basic life support, in accordance with the goals of Mercy Health System and the philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy.
- Provide emergency medical services, including transportation and stabilization of patients, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies.
- Perform clerical, dispatch, and maintenance duties as required to support the efficient operation of our EMS services.
- Licensure: EMT license for the state where employed, valid driver's license.
- Experience: At least 19 years of age to operate Mercy EMS vehicles.
- Certifications/Registration: Hazmat Awareness, BLS for Healthcare Providers, NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800 within 90 days of hire.
