Overview

The Maintenance Utility role is essential for ensuring that the facility remains in optimal condition, minimizing disruptions for both guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities

Core Duties Include:
  • Conducting general maintenance across the property.
  • Ensuring that the physical structure and surrounding areas are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Preparing surfaces and applying various coatings, including paint and varnish, using appropriate tools.
  • Refreshing and redecorating walls, woodwork, and furnishings.
  • Repairing wall coverings and wallpaper as needed.
  • Painting specified areas to maintain a fresh appearance.
  • Replacing electrical components such as switches, receptacles, and light fixtures.
  • Carrying out furniture repairs to uphold quality standards.
  • Maintaining accurate records of repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Testing, cleaning, and repairing swimming pools and spas.
  • Handling repairs for various wall coverings.
  • Managing and programming the hotel’s electronic lock systems.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by the Engineering Management team.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with relevant experience in hospitality or a related field.
  • Preferred candidates will have at least one year of progressive experience in a similar environment.
  • Trade school or college coursework in a related discipline is advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
  • Flexibility in work hours is sometimes necessary.
  • Ability to exert over 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or over 50 pounds frequently, and/or over 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
General Requirements:
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor at all times.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff and guests in a courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Demonstrate strong listening skills to understand and address concerns from employees and guests.

Salary Range ($31.29/hr)
