Position Overview

The Senior Benefits Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the HR Total Rewards team in the development, execution, and management of various processes, programs, and policies. This position demands a thorough comprehension of benefits and payroll operations, alongside a collaborative approach with compensation teams to advance Total Rewards objectives. The analyst will tackle intricate challenges by formulating innovative strategies for enhancing benefits, crafting both short-term and long-term strategic plans, and reassessing current procedures with a novel outlook.

Key Responsibilities

This role encompasses ongoing management, reconciliation, and project assistance for Total Rewards initiatives, which include:

  • Health, dental, and vision programs
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA)
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Paid time off and retirement plans
  • Compensation structures

Educational Requirements

Minimum of an Associate's degree in Human Resources or a related discipline is required.
Preferred candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a similar field.

Certifications

Relevant certifications such as CEBS, InFRE, or equivalent employee benefits credentials are highly desirable.

Experience

A minimum of three years of experience in HR benefits administration, payroll systems, and compensation practices is essential.
Preferred candidates will have four or more years of relevant experience.

Core Competencies

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
  • Extensive knowledge of benefits programs and experience collaborating with external vendors, consultants, and brokers.
  • Proficiency in advising individuals and families on their benefit options, particularly during significant life transitions.
  • Understanding of the necessity to coordinate with professional service providers involved in benefit plan management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, providing written and verbal updates on benefit plan status and activities to management and peers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities to address issues in diverse and complex scenarios.
  • Advanced skills in utilizing software tools such as MS Excel and MS Access for accurate analytical assessments and reconciliations.
  • Capability to develop detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and train colleagues on established processes.
  • Independence in managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive information.
