Job Summary

Blue Origin is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in developing reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers to support the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of our rocket engines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and optimize new processes for rocket engine MRO and test
  • Develop manufacturing work instructions to translate engineering intent into functional hardware
  • Conduct DFMA and PFMEA studies to improve design-to-build feedback loop
  • Collaborate with vendors to develop new manufacturing techniques
  • Work with multi-functional teams to improve designs, processes, and equipment
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering (or related field)
  • Min 5 yrs Validated experience in manufacturing engineering
  • Prior experience leading teams
  • Understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing fundamentals, including GD&T knowledge
  • Experience with MRO of aircraft, turbomachinery, or aerospace hardware
Preferred Qualifications
  • 8+ yrs proven experience in manufacturing engineering
  • Extensive experience in high-rate aerospace and/or automotive assembly lines
  • Ability to develop processes aligned with industry quality systems such as AS9100
