Our team is seeking a talented Patient Access Intake Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate patient access to physician practice services throughout Southcoast Physicians Group and Network.
  • Transcribe orders, cancel appointments, and accurately document in the referral record.
  • Manage electronic faxes via Release of Information (ROI) and ensure all services requiring a referral are processed with the appropriate supporting clinical documentation.
  • Utilize payer portals to submit for insurance referrals efficiently and accurately to avoid delays in patient care.
  • Work as a liaison between physician offices, insurance carriers, and other clinical services to assure coordination of patient care while maintaining patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Certificate in Medical Terminology is preferred.
  • CHAM (Certified Healthcare Access Manage) or CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate) is preferred.
  • Previous call center or customer service experience is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
