Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Senior Charge Master Manager to join our Revenue Cycle team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and providing guidance related to charge capture workflows and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain charge capture workflows and processes to ensure accurate and comprehensive charge capture of services.
  • Research and stay up-to-date on coding and revenue reporting requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Provide education and training to clinical staff on optimal documentation and charge capture practices.
  • Serve as the liaison between clinical charge capture, information systems, and other departments within the Revenue Cycle.
  • Manage the work of the Chargemaster Manager of Mount Vernon and New Rochelle.
  • Ensure the coding of new and existing charge codes and partner with teams to create charge codes and provide reimbursement analysis and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or nursing.
  • Minimum of five to seven years of Hospital Charge Master experience and/or billing or coding experience focused on the CDM.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of the CDM, charge capture processes, and operational issues related to the CDM.
  • Proficiency in payment review systems, hospital information systems, insurance terms, and payment and coding methodologies.
