Job Overview

This role involves working as part of a clinical team to provide quality patient care under the supervision of a physician or licensed healthcare provider. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Take vital signs, obtain health histories, and document patient information in an electronic medical record system.
  2. Assist with exams, procedures, and treatments as ordered by the physician, including administering injections and collecting samples.
  3. Maintain accurate records, charts, and relevant documentation, ensuring compliance with OSHA, DHEC, and UMA standards.
  4. Triaging patients, preparing them for exams and procedures, and instructing them on test collection and results.
Qualifications

A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. An accredited medical assisting program and one year of patient care experience are preferred. Certification through a recognized medical assisting organization, such as AMT, AAMA, or NHA, is essential. Current AHA BLS certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is also required.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this role is $45,000 - $60,000, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and generous paid time off.
