POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for executing a range of tasks from repetitive to non-repetitive assembly operations in production. Focus on process analysis and enhancement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Engages in various assembly tasks, both repetitive and non-repetitive, on electronic and mechanical components, including modules, boards, panels, and cables. Works from schematics and drawings, creates initial layouts, and utilizes hand and power tools, jigs, and saws. Conducts continuity checks on both in-process and finished work.
May perform quality inspections on the production line in line with quality standards.

May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies as per specifications and under simulated conditions. Adheres to approved assembly procedures for components or aircraft structures, referencing internal procedures that have received FAA approval, OEM technical data, and work package instructions.

Positions and aligns subassemblies in jigs or fixtures using measuring instruments, following blueprint lines and reference points.

Inspects completed work to identify any necessary rework before final approval; ensures that repaired components meet established standards and tolerances.

Conducts serviceability tests as required, using specified test equipment from technical manuals.
Completes work package documentation as mandated by FAA and/or repair station manual.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education:
High School diploma or GED. Mechanical and electrical experience is advantageous. Experience with structures is a plus.

Experience:
Typically, 0-2 years of relevant experience in the field.

This is an Entry Level Technician role, requiring basic skills to perform fundamental tasks within the assigned technical area, including assembly, mechanical, electrical, or aircraft structures, and the ability to utilize technical data and aircraft drawings to identify part numbers and execute repairs.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Assignments necessitate minimal knowledge beyond the designated work. Demonstrates a clear understanding of routine work aspects.
Handles basic, less complex, and routine technical assignments. Assists higher-level technicians on moderately complex technical tasks.

Proficient in riveting, installation of related hardware, and using precision instruments and hand tools for these tasks.

Must possess the ability to fabricate parts.

Interprets work orders, blueprints, and specifications or examines samples or damaged parts to determine repair or fabrication methods and operational sequences.

Repairs the body or structure of aircraft according to specifications. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Must be proficient in using air-powered hand tools and related equipment.

Familiarity with raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for optimizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Ability to work various shifts and flexible hours as needed.

Ability to operate in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, and State and Federal regulations.

As required by the position, must be capable of wearing a respirator in accordance with OSHA regulations without restrictions that would hinder proper use and seal.
