Job Summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Santa Ana, CA. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for preparing products for systems-level assembly, including unpacking, setup, assembly, final packaging, and repair as needed.

This is a fully on-site position that requires the ability to obtain top secret clearance and ITAR compliance. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of mechanical assembly experience and possess basic computer skills, including logging in. Additionally, you will need to be able to read work instructions, blueprints, and drawings, and use hand tools such as screwdrivers and torque wrenches.

Responsibilities
  • Access and verify kits, enter batch lot information, package, and label accessory items according to documented instructions.
  • Use appropriate mats and required tooling.
  • Check equipment to ensure proper performance.
  • Use manufacturing routings and process instructions under close supervision.
  • Assemble a variety of systems integration subassemblies.
  • Notify leadership of any shut-down situations.
  • Enter data into the Process Feedback System (PFS) and link subassemblies to final units.
  • Enter quantities into Operations Complete (Baan) when required.
  • Ensure the quality of work to meet or exceed customer satisfaction.
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble units in certified repair operations.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of mechanical assembly experience.
  • Kitting, packaging, and assembly skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including logging in.
  • Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Use of hand tools, such as screwdrivers and torque wrenches.
