Job Summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Santa Ana, CA. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for preparing products for systems-level assembly, including unpacking, setup, assembly, final packaging, and repair as needed.

This is a fully on-site position that requires minimal supervision. You will work in a clean and fast-paced manufacturing facility that is both AS9100 and certified. The facility works on military and government projects, some of which are top secret and require top secret clearance & ITAR clearance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accesses the appropriate paperwork and necessary drawings for each job assignment.
  • Verifies kits, enters batch lot information, packages, and labels accessory items according to documented instructions.
  • Uses appropriate mats and all required tooling.
  • Checks equipment (torque wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.) to ensure proper performance.
  • Uses manufacturing routings and process instructions under close supervision.
  • May assemble a variety of systems integration subassemblies.
  • Notifies leadership of any shut-down situations.
  • Enters data into Process Feedback System (PFS) and links subassemblies to final units.
  • Enters quantities into Operations Complete (Baan) when required.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of mechanical assembly experience.
  • Kitting, packaging, assembly skills.
  • Basic computer skills (logging in).
  • Work instruction/Blueprint/Drawing reading skills.
  • Use of hand tools: screwdriver, torque wrench.
