Project Manager

Harris & Co Executive Search is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to spearhead the management of complex heavy highway construction initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and third-party stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Oversight: Spearhead the management of complex heavy highway construction initiatives, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Relationship Management: Foster and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and third-party stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective communication.
  • Design and Engineering: Supervise the development of design and engineering submissions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Project Scheduling: Create and update comprehensive project timelines, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and stakeholder expectations.
  • Financial Management: Oversee financial aspects, including budget management and fiscal reporting, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Contract Management: Finalize agreements with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Documentation: Develop and compile documentation for project initiation meetings, ensuring clarity and concision.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with superintendents on bi-weekly work forecasts, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee accuracy in time reporting and cost allocation, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Leadership: Lead monthly financial projection meetings and participate in bi-weekly status updates, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Project Planning: Conduct weekly reviews of project plans and resource allocation with on-site leadership, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Procurement and Logistics: Manage procurement and logistics for critical long-lead materials, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Financial Documentation: Oversee financial documentation, including expense approvals and purchase orders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Project Records: Maintain up-to-date project records in the EBO system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communication: Facilitate clear communication across all levels, from field teams to upper management, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective communication.
  • Project Milestones: Achieve project milestones within prescribed timelines and budgetary constraints, ensuring timely completion and adherence to contractual requirements.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with D/W/MBE and EEO project requirements, ensuring regulatory compliance and industry standards.
  • Safety and OSHA: Uphold stringent safety standards and OSHA regulation adherence, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and personal transportation.
  • Construction Knowledge: Working knowledge of construction equipment and machinery.
  • Government Regulations: Capability to comprehend and apply government regulations.
  • Work Ethic: Proactive work ethic with strong organizational abilities.
  • People Skills: Strong people skills for building rapport with diverse teams.
  • Microsoft Office: Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Adaptability: Adaptability to adjust work hours as project demands dictate.
  • Travel: Openness to travel for on-site project management.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary Range: Salary range: $100,000 – $150,000 (commensurate with experience).
