Job Summary and Highlights:

  • Bonus Opportunity: Eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus with a three-year commitment
  • Student Loan Repayment Program: Avera Queen of Peace offers a student loan repayment program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month, an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) will be made to help pay down your principal balance faster.
  • Delivering Care with a Passionate Team: As a Respiratory Therapist, you will work with a team of passionate professionals who are dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care. You will have the opportunity to develop relationships with patients and their families, providing respiratory therapies, education, and companionship.
  • Active and Challenging Care Environment: Our care environment is active and challenging, requiring critical thinking and problem-solving skills. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients, each with unique needs and challenges.
  • Virtual Support: On-demand virtual RT support is available during all shifts through Avel eRT.
  • Relationship Development: As a Respiratory Therapist, you will have the opportunity to develop relationships with patients and their families, providing respiratory therapies, education, and companionship.
  • Compassionate and High-Quality Care: Avera Queen of Peace is committed to delivering compassionate and high-quality care to our patients. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be part of a team that values patient-centered care and is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

    Licensure and Certification:

    • Certified/registered or eligible to be certified/registered in CRT or RRT required
    • NRP and BLS Certification within 6 months of employment required
    • Licensure for Respiratory Care according to South Dakota regulatory requirement

    Work Schedule:

    • 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, every other holiday; 72 hours every 2 weeks

    Pay:

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

    • $39.50 per hour
