Position Overview:
Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. is seeking qualified Clinical Nutrition Specialists to provide essential dietary services. The ideal candidate will operate within the defined scope of practice for Registered Dietitians, adhering to established policies and procedures.
Compensation:
$42 per hour for a standard 40-hour work week.
Work Schedule:
Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility for an earlier start time.
Part-time: Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with potential adjustments to hours and days.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough nutritional assessments for residents upon admission and periodically thereafter, ensuring compliance with current regulations and best practices.
2. Develop and evaluate regular and specialized therapeutic diets tailored to individual resident needs, including menu reviews and food distribution monitoring.
3. Interpret medical orders for specialized diets and maintain accurate documentation, ensuring effective communication with the healthcare team.
4. Monitor residents' weight and nutritional status, implementing medically approved interventions and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to achieve care goals.
5. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to departmental objectives, policy formulation, and quality assurance initiatives.
6. Oversee the adherence to dietary orders and quality standards, utilizing technology for meal planning and nutritional analysis.
7. Provide billable Medical Nutrition Therapy as required, ensuring proper documentation for reimbursement purposes.
8. Offer nutrition counseling and education to residents, focusing on disease management, wellness, and dietary interventions.
Qualifications:
  • Current CPR and BLS certification.
  • Minimum of twelve months of relevant experience within the last three years in a healthcare setting.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in nutrition and dietetics from an accredited institution.
  • Knowledge of nutrition principles, dietary planning, and the specific needs of diverse populations.
Skills:
  • Ability to assess nutritional needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • Experience with electronic health records and dietary management systems.
  • Valid license from the Commission on Dietetic Registration in California.
