The Nurse Manager assumes 24/7 responsibility in directing and coordinating the clinical activities and operations of a nursing unit. The Nurse Manager directs, supervises, and evaluates the performance of the nursing staff, contributes to the development of a fully qualified and continuously improving staff, and supports work redesign and quality improvement within the department.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and administer the annual budget in collaboration with the Director of Nursing.
- Integrate evidence-based practice utilizing the nursing process.
- Demonstrate Service Excellence at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- At least 3 years of experience in the area of practice.
- Critical Care Certification, preferred.
- Previous management experience, required.
Manatee Memorial Hospital is a 295-bed hospital with over 550 physicians, residents, and allied health professionals. We offer advanced healthcare services in a caring and compassionate environment. Our services include cardiac care and cardiovascular medicine, emergency care for all ages, surgery services, a weight loss program, orthopedic services, outpatient and inpatient radiology and rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep, oncology, wound care, and women's and children's services.
Qualifications- BSN, required.
- MSN, preferred.
- Current Florida State RN Licensure.
- BLS through American Heart Association.
- ACLS through American Heart Association.
