Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of policy briefs, testimony, and regulatory documents on complex issues such as artificial intelligence, automation, and worker rights frameworks;
  • Collaborate with labor movement partners, including the AFL-CIO, affiliate unions, and state and local labor federations;
  • Develop materials explaining public policy positions for the labor community and other stakeholders;
  • Advise federal and state policymakers on technology and innovation policy issues;
  • Translate complex issues into actionable information for unions and labor federations;
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field;
  • Demonstrated experience in the labor movement or adjacent fields;
  • Commitment to social and economic justice, racial equity, and the principles of the labor movement;
  • At least 6 years of relevant work experience and success in policy and advocacy areas;
  • Congressional or agency-level experience preferred but not required;
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, including policy documents, testimony, and regulatory comments;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage relationships in complex organizational structures;
