About the Role
Nuro is seeking an expert in autonomous vehicle software to join our team. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software for L2+ to L4 autonomous vehicle applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our autonomous vehicles. Your expertise in C programming, computer science fundamentals, and operating system internals will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded software for autonomous vehicle applications
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and system engineers during product development phases
- Participate in hands-on vehicle bringup, prototyping, development, testing, and debugging

About You
To succeed in this role, you must have a strong background in C programming, computer science fundamentals, and operating system internals. You should also possess good problem-solving skills, communication skills, and experience with real-time OS and real-time applications. A minimum of 3+ years of experience with CAN, SPI, and/or Networking protocols is required. B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field is preferred.

Benefits and Compensation
You will receive a base pay range of $167,000 to $250,000, depending on your experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will be eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.
