Position Overview

Penn Apartment Staffing is seeking skilled and certified HVAC Maintenance Technicians to join our team for various temporary and temp-to-hire opportunities within the apartment sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and execute essential repairs across the apartment community, encompassing plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and electrical systems.
  • Oversee the maintenance operations and ensure the upkeep of the property, while managing the performance of the maintenance team.
  • Collaborate closely with property management to guarantee compliance with regulations and the successful execution of projects.
  • Document and close service requests upon completion, maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property, identifying and rectifying deficiencies to uphold high maintenance standards.
  • Manage the turnover process for move-outs and coordinate with vendors for necessary services.
  • Ensure that all make-ready repairs and services are performed accurately and within the designated timeframe.
  • Supervise vendor activities on-site to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
  • Communicate maintenance updates effectively to residents and management offices.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance tasks and delegate responsibilities to assistants, while overseeing their work quality.
  • Coordinate maintenance personnel schedules to ensure availability for emergency situations.
  • Maintain comprehensive records related to preventative maintenance, service requests, expenditures, and work status.
  • Assist in the movement of heavy appliances and equipment as needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Keep an adequate stock of spare parts and maintenance supplies to address common repair needs.
Qualifications
  • Proficient knowledge in Appliance Repair, Electrical Systems, and Plumbing.
  • Must hold a valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling, either EPA Type III or Universal license.
  • Possession of essential tools, including HVAC gauges and power tools such as grinders, sanders, drills, and saws.
