Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Operations Manager will be responsible for:
- Maintaining comprehensive accounting records and ensuring accurate financial reporting across all business units.
- Delivering precise and timely financial reports and metrics, while implementing robust internal controls to guarantee the integrity of the company’s financial records in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and regulatory standards.
- Supervising treasury functions and ensuring adherence to cash management protocols.
- Driving the creation, execution, and ongoing enhancement of accounting policies, procedures, systems, and reporting capabilities that align with the company’s growth strategies.
- Fostering financial accountability throughout the organization and ensuring that accounting policies and procedures are well-documented and adhered to.
- Integrating and deploying financial and accounting technological solutions, including support for the implementation of a new ERP system.
- Recruiting, mentoring, and retaining top-tier accounting professionals while directly overseeing the current Accounting Team.
- Carrying out additional responsibilities as assigned or necessary.
The ideal candidate for the Financial Operations Manager position will possess exceptional attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and the capability to manage multiple priorities effectively. A successful candidate will demonstrate a history of continuous improvement, with experience in identifying potential challenges, analyzing root causes, and executing effective solutions. Most importantly, the Financial Operations Manager will be expected to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships across all departments, identifying further opportunities for the Accounting Team to support our colleagues, clients, and business partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and other pertinent accounting standards.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including at least 3 years in a managerial role leading accounting teams.
- Strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems, along with advanced skills in Microsoft applications.
