Job Description

Job Title: Aviation Training Programs Manager

Job Summary:

The Aviation Training Programs Manager is responsible for the overall relationship with FlightSafety International (FSI). This requires direct interaction with the Center Manager for the Honda Aircraft account, as well as FSI senior leadership at locations away from Greensboro. This position will also be involved in the development, maintenance, and certification of the training programs offered at FSI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead weekly training schedule meetings to ensure all customer requirements are being met.
  • Mentor and develop associates in new areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure training record accuracy by utilizing the Learning Management System.
  • Manage the three-way relations by acting as liaison between Honda Aircraft, FlightSafety, and the customer.
  • Address pilot and operational concerns raised by FlightSafety, tech support, and the customer.
  • Plan and manage training budgets.
  • Provide periodic reviews and updates of training curriculums.
  • Work with Customer Support to determine what Service Bulletins/Letters and CRs require training changes.
  • Strategic planning and forecasting to determine when additional simulators or facilities are needed to support the program.
  • Provide FlightSafety curriculum and simulator team needed information, drawings, cert plans, etc. as new aircraft modifications are developed.
  • Work with international certification authorities to certify training in new countries and update needed documents with aircraft modifications.
  • Manage pilot service program ensuring contracts, insurance, and invoicing is conducted as needed.
  • Other associated duties deemed critical for this position.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business, Aviation Management, or a related field is required.
  • FAA Type Rated Pilot.
  • 10+ years of experience in the aviation industry.
  • 5+ years experience operating or supporting multi-engine turbine powered aircraft.
  • Knowledgeable in FAA regulations relative to pilot and maintenance training.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated skills in aftermarket business development.
  • Clear understanding of flight operations under FAR Parts 91 and 121 or 13.
  • Familiarity with EASA and/or CAA flight and maintenance training requirements.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, prioritize tasks, manage multiple time-sensitive initiatives simultaneously.

  • Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).
  • Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
  • Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.
  • Effectively communicate in Business English language.
