We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist PRN to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Health. As a Surgical Technologist PRN, you will play a vital role in the interoperative phase of patient care, ensuring the operating room environment is safe and efficient.
Key Responsibilities- Set up the OR according to surgical procedure schedules, arranging sterile setup of instrument tables, supplies, and equipment.
- Ensure the proper functioning of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies during procedures.
- Prepare the operative site by aseptically cleaning and shaving, as necessary, and assist the surgical team with draping and positioning the patient.
- Clean the Operating Room following each case, removing drapes, replacing hamper bags and trash bags, disposing of used supplies, and cleaning and returning equipment to storage areas.
- Maintain inventory of clean and sterilized surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, adhering to Baylor Scott & White Health policies and regulatory standards.
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant, productive CST experience in a specialty area.
- Ability to float across a minimum of three facilities.
- Ability to work a minimum of 4 shifts per month, plus 1 major and 2 minor holidays.
- 401(k) savings plan with dollar-for-dollar match up to 5%.
- Flat rate of $38 / HR plus differentials.
