About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Security Manager to lead our team responsible for protecting our organization's sensitive and proprietary data. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data security policies, managing data encryption solutions, and conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data security policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Lead and manage a team of data security engineers, providing guidance and support.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of security software and tools.
  • Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond to security breaches.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure data security compliance.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on data security best practices.
  • Stay updated on the latest security threats and technologies.
  • Prepare and present reports on security incidents and mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in data security management, preferably in the financial services sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of data security protocols and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data security.
  • Experience with incident response and disaster recovery planning.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum 5+ years of experience in data security or a related field.

Licenses and Credentials
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
  • CompTIA Security+.
  • GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC).
  • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) is a plus.
  • Relevant vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, AWS).
  • Membership in professional security organizations (e.g., ISACA, ISC2).
