Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Rack Room Shoes in Pleasant Prairie. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, meeting sales and work goals, and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Create an excellent shopping experience for our customers through awareness and company service standards. Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and be well-informed.
  • Sales and Assistance: Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives. Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions.
  • Merchandise Presentation: Ensure stock is well arranged and merchandised properly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas within the store.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills.
  • Loss Prevention: Maintain an awareness of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff members.
  • Inventory and Shipping: Participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise, and participate in merchandise placement on the sales floor when needed.

Requirements:

  • Interpersonal Skills: Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with external contacts (primarily customers) and with all levels of employees.
  • Communication Skills: Basic communication (both verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
  • Experience: Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
  • Knowledge: Basic knowledge of the policies and procedures.
