The Minneapolis Heart Institute is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interventional Cardiology Research Fellow to join our team. As a key member of our research team, you will participate in cutting-edge research and education in the treatment of coronary artery disease.
Our Training Program in Complex Percutaneous Coronary Interventions and Interventional Cardiology Research Fellowship is a 12-month program designed to train interventional cardiologists in complex percutaneous coronary interventions and associated clinical research.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the entire spectrum of complex coronary interventions, including chronic total occlusion (CTO) interventions, advanced intravascular imaging and physiology, bifurcation PCI, thrombus management, treatment of acute coronary syndromes, calcification and tortuosity, hemodynamic support and treatment of cardiogenic shock, complication prevention and management, radiation safety.
- Participate in research in complex percutaneous coronary interventions and coronary artery disease.
- Work collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.
- Practice in a thoughtful manner, including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities.
- Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Minnesota State Medical License.
- Must be board eligible within interventional cardiology.
- ACLS/BLS required upon hire.
- Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate upon hire required.
- Prescription Monitoring Program upon hire required.
- National Provider Identifier upon hire required.
- A competitive compensation package, including medical, dental, life, and vision insurance; short and long-term disability; CME allowance; and PTO.
- A 50% clinical and 50% research position.
