Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and driven Tooling Supervisor to support the implementation of world-class manufacturing techniques and develop the ability to create new products. The successful candidate will oversee all tooling activities, including mold design, mold making, insert making, and mold repair.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all tooling operations, organization, and improvement
  • Troubleshoot molding issues and make recommendations to production and engineering to rectify issues with molds and/or molding process
  • Design, build, and repair molds and equipment
  • Operate all tooling department equipment
  • Inspect machined inserts and prioritize the insert cutting backlog
  • Maintain tooling equipment and follow safety rules
  • Support production operations through the timely completion of tooling activities
  • Train, counsel, and discipline employees as necessary

Requirements

  • Five years of experience as a machinist, programmer, or shop supervisor
  • Proficiency in Solidworks and Mastercam
  • Strong ability to use independent judgment in determining methods and processes
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, work methods, and production flow
  • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and documents
